Whether you are a new student/ family or you are returning we are very glad to see you, we are excited about being here, and we are looking forward to a productive and fun school year together.

 

The school looks great and there are many people to thank. Thank you to all staff for working so hard to make your rooms so inviting. A special thanks also goes out to Mr. Wilson, Mrs.L.Peters and Miss S. Davis who have worked diligently over the summer to make this school look spotless.

Phoning the School and Contacting Staff

Avenue Road staff have contact information located on our website (http://ave.wrdsb.ca). Please take note, and use this information when you are contacting your child’s teacher. If your child’s teacher does not have a contact information listed, please contact the main office.  To avoid confusion and extra phone calls, please remember to make your after-school arrangements for your children before they come to school in the morning.

Attendance Line

Our attendance line is the same as last year. Whenever your son/daughter will be absent, please call #519-570-8054 (ext. 3030). This service is available 24 hours.

School Council

Our first school council meeting will be on Wednesday, September 17, 2016 and will continue to be held the second Wednesday of each month (with the exception of December, March and June) at 6:00 p.m. in the school library. All are welcome.

Picture Day is September 27 – more information will follow.

Nutrition Breaks

Please review Avenue Road’s Nutrition Break policy for students wishing to leave school property for 2^nd break. Only those students who parents have signed and submitted the nutrition break form and are going directly to their own home to eat lunch will be permitted to leave school during 2^nd break.
