One of the ongoing issues in our neighbourhood is the challenge with student drop-off and pick-up.  Many of our community members have voiced their concerns for student safety and it is our hope to address these by outlining some traffic rules expectations.

  • Vehicles may not stop in the bus loading zone in front of the school
  • There is a “no stopping” zone on Gail St. across from the school
  • The parking lot is intended for Waterloo Region District School Board staff and volunteers. Outside of drop-off and pick-up times, it may be used for school visitors if space permits
  • The designated disabled parking spaces may only be used by vehicles with permit visibly displayed. They are not intended for short-term parking

The City of Cambridge By-Law Enforcement has been present around the school and we want to advise our families that vehicles may be ticketed for infractions.

School administration is working collaboratively with a School Travel Planning Facilitator from Student Transportation Services of Waterloo Region who helped to create an Avenue Road parking map for visual details. This school partner will also be joining us at our next School Council meeting on Wednesday, March 6 at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend.

Thank you for your assistance in keeping our neighbourhood safe.
