A Walk in Their Sneakers is an annual walking event held across the region during which students show police and bylaw officers (and any other community leaders you can muster) their walk to school. While walking together, officers and community leaders will learn how students travel to school, celebrate their self-powered travels, and give students tips on how to stay safe.

A Walk in their Sneakers is supported by Student Transportation Services of Waterloo Region, area municipalities, and Waterloo Regional Police Services. Note that there may be some media attention and will likely be photos taken somewhere along the route by participants and parents.
